Submit Your Band Videos. We’ll Pay You.

Written on February 8, 2008

So, we tried this before but I underestimated how unmotivated musicians are. But, we’ll try it again. You may be familiar with BandboTV (www.BandboTV.com) we have webisodes of video-interviews with local bands. Our webisodes are viewed between 18 and 20,000 times per month and are syndicated on several high-traffic websites. So, to say the least, this is some decent exposure for bands and artists. The downfall is we are very limited in time and travel and cannot reach many deserving bands. So here is our solution:We’ll pay your band $50 if you create your own webisode and send it to us. Check out our previous interviews at www.BandboTV.comto see what it needs to look like. So, in short:

• Get a friend with a camera to tape your interview

• Have them ask you 5 questions: Introduce the band and explain your style of music, What’s your best tour/stage moment, what’s you worst stage/tour moment, how do you market and promote your music and advice you have for other local bands.

• Play one of your songs acoustic

•  Edit the movie to a segment under 15 minutes long. (add music, transitions, still pictures, credits, etc…)

• Put the uncompressed quicktime file on CD and mail it to us.

See how easy it is. In reality, we’re paying you to give you exposure to thousands of potential fans.  Here’s the catch, we’ll pay you once we have aired the episode. We don’t have a high-standard for the videos but if it really sucks we’re not gonna air it. It’s first come, first serve, so we’ll show them as they come in. Also, follow our format, we will not except music videos, although if you add your own funny segment or addition we’ll consider it. All genre’s are welcome (Rap, Solo, Band, Country, Singer/Songwriter, Emo, Screamo, etc…)

That’s it.  If you have any questions send them to info@bandbo.com, subject: BandboTV Video. Once your video is ready to be sent email us for mailing directions.Local band? Local site. Bandbo.com
